It&#8217;s regarded to be one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world and is also tied to JK Rowling, where she was allegedly inspired to create <em>Flourish and Blotts Bookstore<\/em>. Can you see the resemblance?<\/p><p>Plenty of people warned us that the bookstore is small, there is always a line to get in, and gets extremely crowded in that small space.<\/p><p>We got really lucky with a bad weather forecast, and during our visit, we made it in right away. You have to buy tickets just to visit (which can go towards a purchase). Although, it wasn&#8217;t considered a busy day, it still felt crowded. I can&#8217;t imagine the days where they&#8217;re getting 5000 visitors a day.<\/p><p>To skip the lines, you can purchase a ticket online that includes a book and priority entrance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9edb2e6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9edb2e6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #ff865c;\"><strong>Photo Tip:<\/strong><\/span> You&#8217;re going to want your widest lens. Since we were exploring the city on foot, it just so happened to be the quickest way to get from point A to point B. We were extremely lucky, because I would have been so bummed to miss the stunning views of Porto from the bridge. While walking across, we stopped every few feet to take in the views.<\/p><p>The bridge is a double-deck metal arch bridge with the lower level being used for cars, and the upper level for pedestrians and public transportation. You can do a day trip or a multi-day trip. Igreja do Carmo is a beautiful late Baroque style church. Igreja dos Carmelitas is right next door with a 1-meter wide house sitting right in between them so the churches wouldn&#8217;t have to share a common We were walking around looking for our next stop and as we turned the corner, the cathedral towered over us. We had a chance to tour the interior with but we decided to run around the city looking for other photo spots instead. You just need to pick up a reusable Andante card. Plus, there&#8217;s Uber.<\/li><li><strong>Get a Map<\/strong> (or Google maps). There are a lot of narrow and winding roads that make navigating a bit confusing. We had service so we didn&#8217;t have any issues with Google maps, but if you&#8217;re worried, be sure to download the area on Google Maps.
